Terms of Service

Terms of Service

The contract between you and Omni Media & Tech Ltd when you use decks.studio. We've kept the prose plain — no legalese for its own sake.

1. Who these terms are with

Decks Studio (decks.studio) is operated by Omni Media & Tech Ltd, registered in England & Wales — the entity you contract with and, through Paddle, the merchant of record.

In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the service is provided by Omni Media And Tech LLC (Commercial Registration No. 7054312215). Decks Studio™ is a trademark of Omni Media & Tech Ltd.

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the service.

2. Your account

One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for any activity under your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, the same one-person rule applies.

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent within 30 days; shared deck links you've already distributed survive separately.

3. Trial fairness

Every account gets one free trial. Creating multiple accounts to extend the trial — including using disposable inboxes, multiple email aliases, or coordinated team sign-ups — is a violation and we may close any account involved without refund.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically each billing period at the price displayed at checkout. We don't surprise-bill — the price you signed up at is the price you renew at until we give you written notice of a change.

Billing is handled by Paddle (paddle.com), our merchant of record. Your invoice will show Paddle as the seller and any applicable VAT/sales tax is calculated by Paddle at checkout.

You can cancel anytime from Account → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then.

5. Refunds

If decks.studio doesn't work as promised, you may request a refund within 14 days of payment by replying to your receipt or emailing [email protected]. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion and typically prorated where appropriate.

Consumers in the EU, EEA, and UK retain their statutory 14-day cooling-off rights regardless of this paragraph.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use decks.studio for content or behaviour that is unlawful where the content is created, hosted, or accessed. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Upload, generate, or share illegal content, malware, sexual content involving minors, or content that incites violence or hatred against a protected group.
  • Use decks.studio to harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate any person or organisation.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or moral rights.
  • Scrape, automate, or hammer the API beyond fair use, or attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or share-link protections.
  • Reverse-engineer, sublicense, or resell the service except as the plan you bought explicitly allows.

7. Your content and intellectual property

You retain all rights to the decks, documents, files, text, and brand assets you upload or generate ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content as needed to operate the service — including rendering the deck for you, generating a PDF, and serving share links to recipients you've chosen to share with.

We do not sell Your Content, and we do not train AI models on Your Content. AI providers we use (Anthropic, Google) process Your Content under API terms that prohibit them from using API submissions to train their models. See /trust for the full handling description.

8. AI-generated content

Decks generated by AI may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or fabricated detail. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before sharing it externally — particularly numbers, quotes, names, and any claim that could be mistaken for legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

decks.studio is not liable for losses arising from reliance on uncorrected AI output.

9. Custom domains

Studio and Team plans may map a custom domain (e.g. decks.yourbrand.com) to a white-label landing. You warrant that you own or are authorised to use the hostname you connect. We will not knowingly serve a deck on a hostname registered to impersonate a third party, typosquat a well-known brand, or otherwise mislead visitors about origin. We may suspend or remove a custom-domain mapping on credible report of such use.

10. Referral programme

Sharing your invite link earns you 30 days of Studio added to your plan for each friend whose paid subscription remains active beyond the refund window. Specifically:

  • Credit fires when the referred friend's subscription becomes 'active' (paid, not trial).
  • If the friend refunds or cancels within the 14-day refund window, the credit is automatically revoked.
  • Self-referrals, multi-account farming, and any incentive fraud forfeit all referral credit and may close the offending accounts.
  • We may change, pause, or end the programme with notice. Credit already finalised will be honoured.

11. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly availability on paid plans, measured per calendar month excluding scheduled maintenance announced in advance. Free and trial tiers are best-effort. We may modify, add, or remove features with reasonable notice; we will not remove a core feature you've been paying for without offering an equivalent or a prorated refund.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription and/or delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access without refund if you materially violate these terms, abuse the trial, or use the service in a way that endangers other users or our infrastructure. Where it's safe and lawful to do so we'll give you a chance to correct the behaviour first.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Omni Media & Tech Ltd's total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.

Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations we will give you reasonable notice by email and/or an in-app banner before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can cancel and request a refund under section 5.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save that consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which they are domiciled.
