Every completed signature seals a PDF that carries its own proof: who signed, when, from which IP, and a content hash of the document at the moment of signing. Change a single word afterwards and the hash no longer matches. The signature stays permanently valid for the sealed version it signed; a later edit simply creates a new draft the signature doesn't cover — presenting an edited document as the signed one is immediately detectable by the hash mismatch. That is the difference between a picture of a signature and one you can stand behind.
